Building A Refreactor Mount

My daughter and I are trying to use a Tasco(low end even for Tasco) to start out in astronomy. I would like to replace the flimsy tribod mount that it came with, with something more sturdy. If she and I both stay interested I will upgrade to a netwonian with a dob mount. But for now the Tasco will have to do.
