I couldn't see why silver would be a problem either but several sources had complained about it being difficult.

I was going to figure about 90 minutes on the machine I am trying to rebuild. I would say that sort of explains the demand. I understand electron beam evaporation is no power nibbler either.

Can Tungten coils or Boats be used to silver coat and dielectric over coat?
