Hi all, I have a question that is confusing me.
A curved a mirror has a focal point a certain distance in front of it. How do you determine the radius of curvature to give a particular focal point?
I would like to hog out a large mirror using a machining method, to my distorted logic the pivot point of the tool should be at the focal point but persons far more experienced than my self have said it should be twice that distance (if I understood correctly)
Can anyone shed any light on this?
Many thanks
Charles
