forgot to mention that the 5 inch jaegers objectives sold for about half the price of the 6 inch objectives. in 1974, the 5 inch sold for about 150 bucks. 500 seems high, to answer your question, considering that focklens sold F8/10/12 coated airspaced (unmounted )lens sets for $250-300 recently on ebay.in my opinion these would make a rather nicer telescope. tom leech |
