Hi Guys,

This sort of sounds like the glass may be ceramitized. In an extremely slow anneal some glasses can crystalize. I have had an unaswered question as to whether or not this may happen to "precision annealed PYREX". No supplier of this grade of Pyrex has been able to tell me. Cervit is a glass that is then Ceramitized to get the low expansion characteristics. It also converts the liquid nature of glass to a solid.

Cheers,
-Rick
