| Attaching A Camcorder To A Meade 12" LX200 GPS

I own a Sony Digital 8 camcorder, and am awaiting the delivery of a Meade 12" LX200 GPS Telescope. Does anyone have input on the possibility of attaching the camcorder to the Telescope? I assume I would have to put the camcorder in Macro mode, then I could through a cable and software be able to control the telescope from my office which is about 18' from the telescope. Any input on this topic would be appreciated.
