Hello Pat,

I appreciate your ideas for improving the Close Pairs tool. I think they distill down to "Show me a list of all objects from a given reference position sorted by distance." It is a good idea and I will add it to the list for a later release.

For now, you can do this graphically by pointing the Sky View at, say, Deneb; use RA/Dec mode; set the FOV to something reasonable; use Filter to show only Solar System objects; then step time along every hour or so and watch for things passing by.

Also, stepping time in this way with Close Pairs on Automatic Update would at least help in finding all close encounters in the future. But going any further strikes me as more suitable for a command line batch program (than a GUI program) that just sits and cranks.
