Ever read the book "The Sirius Mystery" by Robert Temple? Ok, what you posted was `proof` by Von Daniken to vindicate his theory that God was a Spaceman. I, however do not subscribe to his crackpot ideas. Robert Temple`s arguments, however, are far more intelligent and thought provoking. The book investigates ancient myths surrounding an amphibius creature that supposedly passed on knowledge of the stars to ancient man. One of the most compelling arguments in favour of Temple is the accurate knowledge that a tribe in Mali possess about the star Sirius. The Dogon tribe (who live in Mali) were well aware that Sirius had a dwarf companion star for four thousand years. They also know that the orbital periodicity of the dwarf star is fifty years. The Dogon also believe that their is another companion star orbiting Sirius which has yet to be discovered. Stick that in your bong and smoke it!
