Should there be any contact with extra-terrestrial inteligence, it will be through mathematics. The signals that should be sent shuld be unverrsal constants such as pi or e ( the base of natural logarithms)

Any inteligent civilization capable of undrestandind those messages would respond-

On the other hand, the astronomical distances should be taken into account. Years and even centuries or milenia could pass before an answer is received. So an accurate record should be kept of all messages and the date sent-
