Hi All;
I was at the pool club Saturday watching birds and planes with the binos. I was getting tired so I put my sunglasses on and layed down. Looking up in the sky I couldn't believe it! A Circum-Zenithal Arch. This is a Rainbow but not from horizon to horizon. It just hangs in the sky around the Zenith. If it were a complete circle it would go completely around the zenith. It went about 25% on the way around. It was very dim. There were passing clouds. I couldn't see it well without the sun glasses, too much glare. Very impressive. I saw one about 2 years ago, very bright, I took about 20 minutes video which came out great. Thought you might be interst in a little daytime obsevation.
That's it;
BOB SAL
