There's a company caller Adaorama, you can find them and many others at www.astronomy-mall.com. They have cheap bino's called Pro-Optic. They run about $100 cheaper than the Orion for the same size. Now I've seen 2 pairs of these. The 10x70 which sucked. They were like looking down a tunnel at a small image at the bottom. I didn't like them and guy who owned them looked jelous after looking in my Orion. Then I saw a pair of Pro-Optic 20x80 that were the same price as my Orion 15x70. They were real nice. Huge field of view, nice and bright images. If your looking for a good cheap pair, that's the way to go. A smaller
telelscope might be a disappointment since you have an LX200. I have a LX200, hardly ever look in anything smaller except the APO refractors. They are great. Got to get one of those. I'd like to get a better pair of binos to, Maychies, very expensive, 45 degree eyepieces semi APO or APO which ever you can afford. A real luxury item if there ever was one. I don't really have the money for them, but you never know, maybe I'll sell one of the kids!
That's it;
BOB SAL
