I haven't seen that where you were looking,
(under the north star)

but I saw something like that
two months ago
I was out walking my dogs around 10:30 in the evening
and this bright thing just blazed up in the southwest
around 45 degrees up

and it didn't move

just a very bright blaze
brighter than venus
and then slow fade out
and gone

the fade out reminded me of how the ISS fades when it
travels back into shadow

but this thing didn't move, stayed in the same spot the whole time

the show lasted about a minute and a half

never seen anything like it...
