I went out almost every night from 10/16 to 10/20 with my 4.5" reflecter, plossl eps, and 2X celestron barlow. Temp generally in the mid 50's, slight wind, clear skies.

Very good looks at Mars. Saw some service detail even though the planet is quickly moving away from Earth.

Got great looks at Andromeda Galaxy. Could actually make out some spiral detail with averted vision. Best looks provided by the 25mm ep.

Double Custer was very clear, many stars visible with great contrast again with the 25mm ep.

Pleiades very also very clear

I looked for, but couldn't find M33.

Great nights while I wait for my xt8 to be delivered.....

Later

Lenny
