Hi Thom;
Double Stars are measured by the distance apart. Alberio is about 34.4" (Seconds of Arc) The main components of Epsilon Lyre are much further 207". Each component of the Double can be split again, but not in 7x50 binos. The components are then 2.6" & 2.3" apart and about 200x magnification is needed to see them clearly.
