I felt the same way about the goto scope. I can find everthing on my own, why do I need it. But then, when you see one in action, got to have it! I can turn the motors off and use it manually if I want. I do that when it's not dark enough yet. Wait till you see one at StarQuest. You can't help but be impressed.
