Hi Bob,

Glad to hear your positive report on the sergury and recovery. I got my scope just before the GPS's came out, so I'm sure it came with most of the same stuff as your 12". I wonder if the contrast coating would be worth the extra charge.

Thanks for the advice on batteries and dew prevention. I had no idea Orion was in the blow-dryer business! I do have the Kendrick dew cap and heater, but I haven't used it in the field yet. Probably should, huh? I may have to look at one of those blow-dryers too - sounds like a convenient way to zap dew.
