The first object I caught in my scope other than the moon was Jupiter. I had imaged what the moon looked like and I was not disappointed, but Jupiter was a different story.

I had heard Jupiter was the brightest light in the winter sky, and all I did was turn my scope to that light. I was literally shocked. I called my son on the phone and told him what I had seen. He got excited and came drove across town. In the mean time I pulled my wife outside to have a look. My son was so thrilled he is planning to get a scope....
