Problem Aligning LX90-ACF Telescope

We purchased our LX90 2 months ago and since then we have not been able to align the scope with the "automatic" or "easy"or "2 star" programs. After a handbox reset we calibrated the sensors and motor and trained the drives (does this need to be done with each use?) After we get a message of "alignment successful ", it slews to an area near the object (for instance Jupiter or the Moon) but the object is not in the eyepiece of the LX90 or the finder scope. The scope will sync with a planet or star and follow it. We are using a 12 volt Power Tank as the source of power. I have confirmed the correct time, date are entered and that daylight savings is "on". What else can I do to correct this problem |
