Hello to everyone,
I have a meade lx200 classic that I bought from
a astromart member. This unit seems to work well.
I use it in altaz mode, its as level as I can
get on the tripod. I do a one star align with
reticle finder and a 12mm ill. eyepiece. This
time an location, I use vega, or antaries as
an align stars. The align goes real well, after
an align, I tell it to goto differnt targets
and most of the time they are in my 12mm field
of view. Last night (26 th) I goto M82, no
problem, when I goto M81 which is a very short
move from M82, the scope took almost a 270
degree move to point to nothing.
Alternately, after a good align and good goto
sessions, I turn it off. When I turn it back on
I do a time/date, it does its planetary thing
an I will give it a goto on a star, but It will goto some other location, when the night
before it whent right to the target.
Any body out there have this or similiar problem
