I guess it depends on what you want the old girl to do. If you want autoguiding you would need to build Mike Covington's LX3 handpaddle. See www.ai.uga.edu/mc/alcor/alcor.pdf

If you want to use a personal computer to drive the scope to objects you can do this with a lot of off the shelf part and lots of custom work. If you would be satisfied with pushing the scope around and having the PC show you where to push to, you can install encoders and a encoder/serial port interface. Used these will run you anywhere for $50 to 250. There are several stand alone computers that will work directly with the encoders, such as, JMIs NGC-MAX. Used these go for $100-250. HTH
