With 26mm It Is 48x

The focal length of a ETX90 is 1250mm,all you have to do is focal length(1250mm divided by 26mm =48x)with a 2x barlow the magnification will increase to 96x.I don't know what the maximum practical viewing power is on an etx 90.You will have to be the judge,you will always want a clear crisp image,too much power will make for blurry images and that is not good.I would suggest 18mm,12mm,8mm and 5mm and get a good 2x barlow lense.the power of a 5mm with your scope would be 250x.well ihoped this helped you! |
