I recently bought a new Meade SCT with Autostar II. The Autostar will run about 20 to 40 minutes and then quit. Sometimes I can restart it by pressing mode. Othertimes, I have to reboot the telescope. I hesitate to contact Meade because I don't want to ship the scope back to them. From my prior experience, Meade won't repair or replace anything on or connected to the scope without the entire telescope being returned. The optical allignment is fairly good and I don't want to risk shipping damage. Anyone have any suggestions? Maybe just buy a new Autostar?
