| Can I Upgrade The Base On My LX3?

I just purchased an LX3 8" and would like to get into imaging. So far, what I've read is that the controls aren't up to par. What would be my best option for using this telescope for astrophotography. Can I use the optical assembly on a newer mount or would I just be wasting my money? |
