| DS-114AATE Is This A Good First Scope?

I have been thinking about the Meade DS-114AATE as a gift for my wife, I saw it at BJ's and dont think they sell it else where. Is this a decent first scope? I was wondering what the "real" capability of this scope is. BTW the $ is 199.99. I'm not cheap but dont want to end up with a "dust collector" or eBay listing, after spending good hard earned money. Any tips or sugguestions would be greatly appreciated.
