Diagonal Prisms : An Important Component ?

My Meade 8" LX200 was delivered with the standard 1"25 45° diagonal prism.
Someone told me that that piece was not that good !
So I'd like to know what is the light transmission rate of that prism and the one of the UHTC version of the same brand.

Also should I expect huge improvments if changing to the Meade UHTC version or to a TeleVue Everbrite Diagonal prism ?

Tank you for any advice.

Chris
