This happened to me once a couple of months ago on the LX200-12 GPS. Very, very frustrating. No matter what I did the scope would not focus. I finally just shut it down and started over and everything worked fine. INT WTF?
Hope you have better luck as I love my 12".

Also collimation could be off from rough handling while shipping. I, personally did not have this problem but it could surely have happened if someone dropped the box or simply didn't care about his job and slammed the scope around in shipping.
Also, I know Daniel will suggest joining the lx200 yahoo group. And he's right... they are quite the plethora of information.
