Spend the bucks, dude. You get an extra 20% light transmission, basically adding another inch of aperture.
I personally own the non-UHTC scope for only one reason: I ordered the LX200 GPS during the first week it was announced (indeed, I had orderred the classic LX200, but they stopped making them before my order was filled, thank goodness). The UHTC coatings weren't announced for a few months after my order. Bummer.
If you ever plan to do photography, the extra 20% will shorten your exposures on deep-sky targets. I wish I had it.
