My Club holds new telescope workshops from time to time. I've seen as many as 300 people show up with over 100 telescops of all shapes and sizes. We also have people showing up at club meetings and star parties looking for help with new telescopes. I'm always available to help them get started. The Meades, Celestrons and Orions and all usually pretty good. The Toscos are not so good. But the worst scopes, in my opinion, are the Saturns. The tripods are weak, mounts worse, electronics awful and optics from the bottom of the barrel. I've been able to get every telescope I've attempted working except for the ones that were broken and the Saturns! If your buying it just to fool around with and it's under say $100, I'd still say get something else. You can get a good pair of binoculars for under 100 from the Orion catalog and see more with them than that telescope, in my opinion of course.
