My Mistake

I own an ETX-90 as well as a 10-inch LX200 GPS. The ETX-90 remembers the location, but its internal clock shuts off when the scope is turned off. I mistakenly assumed the non-GPS LX200 did the same. In any case, my point is that one can enter the date and time manually in the event that the GPS receiver doesn't work. Thanks for correcting me. Now I am simply bewildered as to why the Autostar on the ETX line doesn't have an internal clock that keeps running, since Meade included that on the classic LX200 series, which predated the ETX line by several years. |
