I am the owner of a Meade LX200 f10 and with the supplied Meade 26mm lens images are clear and stars look pinpoint.
The distributor convinced me to buy a 13mm Vixen LVX lens instead of a Meade, arguing that the quality was as good as with an equivalent Meade lens, while with the difference in price I could afford a moon filter .
Now, withe this Vixen 13mm LVW the whole picture seems really dark, a good deal less sharp and my eye has to remain accurately centered without the slightest move to be able to see the image.
My question is : is this normal to these proportions and do these phenomenons happen as well with a Meade +- equivalent lens ?

Many THX for answer .
