Joseph, I'm in the same page as you. I've done Newtonians collimation before but this 2114ATS is impossible, and I hate Meade for that. I've tried to call the customer support, but it is useless, looks like they just do not care.
Anyways, one thing I am doing now is to remove the primary, put a piece of paper with a small hole in the middle and align the secondaty mirror looking throught this hole. The reflection of the focused tube should be in the middle of the secondary.
Please if found other solution, let me know.
