I am the new owner of a LX200 8" and have problems getting sharp images from planets (ie Jupiter) and brilliant stars .
For Jupiter : I cannot get the just focus (image not sharp ) and no detail of the surface
for bright stars : they always appear fuzzy .
Though, the moon appears quite sharp and its image is very good.

I have checked the collimation and it seems to be OK.
There is no dew on the Scmidt lens .

Might it be caused by the fact that my SCT is inside my home (I can observe parts of the sky from inside (and opened windows)) and the outside atmosphere is pretty humid and cool ?
Thx for any hint or advice .
Chris
