I bought one. I consider the tripod and mount
more substantial than on the DS-114AT
for $100 more at Walmart.
Be aware that Meade does not support
this scope (with Starfinder) for PC attachment.
The Starfinder looks like Meade's Autostar #494,
so Meade's #506 kit MAY add RS-232 capability.
There are a pair of unused pins on
the Starfinder RJ-45 connector with active
0-5 volt signals, which I hope are the
I2C bus used by the #506 kit.
