I see many new people all hung up on pointing the thing north. I tell them all the same thing. It doesn't matter. All you really need to do is center the 2 alignment stars and there's not much else for you to do. The scope does the rest. Even my old version LX200. I have to level it, then 2 star alignment, and it hits everything, almost dead center every time. Even with my 22MM at 138X and 14MM at 218X everything hits very close to center. If it dosen't, it's my fault. I didn't center my 2 alignment stars well enough. I do it over, then it's fine. Great scope. Never get tired of it.
