A Good 40mm?

What's a good 40mm eyepiece? I have not heard good things about the Meade Super Plossls 40mm especially with the small FOV. The SWA 40mm supposedly has problems with coma and astigmatism around the edges. Have I heard wrong about these?
Also, I'm looking at a Televue 9mm Nagler Type 6. And I'm looking for a decent 2x barlow, not too expensive but with good optics. The Meade #140 seems like it would work.
Help from anyone would be great.
