RA Lock On LX200 GPS

I took my new LX200 GPS out tonight. As soon as I got it out of the box, the RA lock would not disengage.

The RA lock knob has no tension at all. Just flops easily from side to side.

The scope is locked in the RA. It does not turn freely on the RA axis.

Any thoughts on what I should do, short of shipping the scope back to Astronomics or Meade?
