Loose Dec Lock

The Dec lock on my 10" LX200 GPS is the same. It's a brand new scope, too. Got it last Wed.

When I was adjusting the finderscope, I had a hard time keeping the Dec from shifting. Tightening the knobs on the finderscope was enough to cause movement. I had to hand tighten it firmly to keep the OTA from moving on the Dec axis. It took a firm twist to release it.

The RA locks easily. You can even use the RA lock like the drag on a fishing reel.

Mitch
