I received my 12" LX200 GPS in early March. I reserved it in September, and it seemed to take for ever for Meade to ship, but once it came, it was well worth the wait. I did considerable research before and after ordering. I could have bought the Celestron when I got on the waiting list for the Meade, but the Meade has alot more plusses than the Celestron. I would still get the Meade even if it was $2000 more than the Celestron. I used it a few nights ago to follow the International Space Station, while the Shuttle was docked to it. I hear this ability to track the ISS is a new feature of the GPS models, and I don't think the Celestrons are capable of this, except through third party software. I was a bit dissapointed though when my scope arrived and I found out the AC power adapter was an extra charge. They used to be included.
