Hi. I'm a 49 year old beginner. Have had a junk play telescope that never worked and would like a decent one to start with. Have looked at the ETX 60 and 90's, but just saw a 114EQ-DH4 at Sam's. Seems to be a better value - autostar, tripod, software. Is reflecting better than refracting for me to start with if all I want is night time viewing? If I can see the rings on Saturn and a few moons around the planets and a the andromeda galaxy, I'd be thrilled. Can you please provide some advice to a beginner please. Thank you very much. |
