Peter, the LX10 is a good scope for the price. It adapts well for the options provided with the exception of the Magellan I digital control system. After it is installed you are unable to rotate the optical tube asbly into the forks (for transporting) because of installed gear asbly for the Magellan.
Go to the following site, http://www.excelsis.com and click on astronomy and then telescopes. The server is slow so it may take a moment for the web page to load, but, you will get a list of scopes which you can click on and read the responses from owners. This will give you an idea as to what you are looking for. Cheers! Keep looking up.
