Hi all -- I'm a new member and have been lurking about. I have a few questions regarding using the ETX-125EC and a Nikon CoolPix 950 together.

The ETX-125EC is the scope of choice as I will be fulltiming in a fifth wheel trailer and the scope must be portable, easy to set up and easy to store.

I already own the camera and was wondering whether any member has had experience using this camera/scope combo.

Specifically, what type adapter is needed for the 28mm thread to the scope? Mfg/cost?

Secondly, what camera settings are used? Spot metering, focus, shutter delay, shutter speed? If you have specifics I'd love to see them.

I have not purchased the scope yet. Is there another that would be suitable for full time travel with all the attendant handling and storage issues? I would get the padded case and heavy duty tripod.
