I'm new to this excellent forum and and also discovering the great aspects of the night sky. I recently purchased a used Meade 10" SCT and have noticed that the primary Lens has a lot of spots on it. I looked at various objects through a friends telescope and the images have appeared to be much clearer than that of my own. How do I get the spots off the lens. Also if this is too much of a hard task for me to do, what specialists does anyone recommend where I can send the telescope out and have it profesionally cleaned. I live in San Diego, CA.
