How Do I Polar Align A Meade LX-50?

About a year and a half ago, we bought a Meade LX-50 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. We`ve had it out looking at the moon and we HAVE seen Saturn, but that`s about it. I have never figured out how to polar align it. I read the article on how to polar align a telescope on your webpage, but it has what I believe is an equatorial mount. Is there anyone who can tell me how to polar align my LX-50 with my fork mount? This information sure would be appreciated.

Also, I have considered buying the Magellan II "go to" type of controller, but it is very expensive. Would this make my telescope any easier to use, and thus more enjoyeable?

Thanks in advance for any help.
