Hi All;
Hey, this is my first post here. The 12" LX200 is very portable. I take it every where. I put a movers mat on a hand truck, put the scope on the mat, wrap it the mat around it with 3 bungee cords and I'm on my way. No problem! I put the hand truck in car and take it anywhere. The tripod gets set up first, then I wheel the scope next to it, upwrap it and just lift it onto the tripod. If you have a dog or a cat and lift a 50lb. bag of cat sand or dog food, the 70lb. telescope is not much heavier than that. Note that the 10" is only 10lbs. lighter. Since your not carrying it any distance, it's a piece of cake. With the computer drive, goto slewing, tracking and 12 inches of aperture, it's an amazing amateur telescope. Every time I set it up, every time, I lok at it and I can't believe it's mine. I love it. Clear Skies.
That's it;
BOB SAL
