I am in the market for a second telescope. I currently have a Nexstar5 and am interested in a larger compound telescope. I was looking at a LX200 8"SCT, but for some reason have had my attention drawn to the LX200 7" Mac. I know that the 7" would be better for planetary viewing but wopuld like a good "general" telescope. Would the 7" be a better choice if I used a 6.3 focal reducer, or should I just go with the 8"?
