Most places have a 2 or 3 months waiting list. As far as taking pictures I have taken quite a few photoes of the moon, Jupiter and Saturn with a 8" starfinder and they can out excellent. Astrophotography can be a pain in thhe butt sometimes but the results can be worth the trouble.
