Hi Richard,

Generally I respect all religions, but I am not in favor of creating one united religious view by comparing and contrasting doctrines into 'one'. So, I didn't get such information from theosophy. I thought of it mostly by reasoning through the effects of mathematics on the world, the failure of platonism describing a world of objects, the success of mathematical realism, origin of logic and the implications, conflicts between process theology and standard theistic theology, and finally to a deduction of what is fundamental within mathematics (e.g., axioms, set theory, etc).

I did find along the way neoplatonism because of the similarity of views. It is a crude description, but the fact that Logic arises from a Monad within Plotinus' view is very interesting.

As a sidenote, I don't make any strong claims. This is a tentative model of mine (and I guess everyone else who has thought along these lines). I believe many more fundamental knowledge of mathematics, philosophy, and science are buried in volumes of books. Uncovering those fundamental facts, I believe, will yield more interesting conclusions (at least for myself). Obviously this kind of stuff won't interest scholars (etc), that's why it rightfully belongs on an internet forum.

Warm regards, Harv
