Aurino said above:
'Actually, science has been around not nearly as long as philosophy, art, and religion. Not even close.'

Science is knowledge of nature. Of course, there was not much knowledge of nature in Biblical times (strange that gods (Allah, Budda, Jahove, etc) did not reveal anything about nature to mankind in holy books). We accumulate knowledge as we measure, count and logically analyze.

Another interesting claim by Aurino:
'And it's (science's) continuing failure to provide answers that matter to most people, save a few enthusiasts here and there, is to me clear indication that science matters much less than science-lovers think. Way less.'

Well, Aurino - to see how far from truth is this statement, look around your place and remove objects which are fruits of science - not only computers, TVs and phones, but without cars, houses, cities themselves, food, clean water - and with having back all kind of deseases, and being constantly exposed to weather elements, to wild animals chasing you for dinner (and rarely vice versa), etc.

If what science gave humans is 'way less' for you, why do you use products of science then? Why not to join (or to start) a sect which denies use of any 'scientifically altered or scientifically engineered object' and move to a jungle, being 'way happier' that other poor folks who have to use houses, cooked food, medicine, clean water, cars, computers, etc?
