A Little Adjustment Here

May I make a little adjustment here:

How about: Once we find the reason for our pretend-life there is no reason to pretend anymore and that is the end of the pretend-life?

Whereas real life has no reason; it requires no reason; as Existence itself is the ultimate explanation. It is a contradiction in terms to seek an explanation of an ultimate explanation; as the new explanation would be more ultimate and the previous one couldn't have been ultimate.

Needless to say, very young babies delight in life/ existence itself and feel no need to bow to some 'reason' to justify it. Existence requires no reason. Whereas compromised-life, muddled-pattern life; forgetting-one's-own-personal-history-life; lost-life; unfinished-business-to-attend-to life; economic-hardship-life; all look for reasons to explain that state of affairs.

I'll be away for some weeks, but there's a thought.
