You did not get the definition of the word Pharisee from the reference of the scripture of Banabas as it is obvious that Jesus is talking about the Caananites observing the Levites and calling them Pharisees. The word Pharisee has a definite meaning in Judiasm, the same as in the New Testament.

Is it that you are using the word in the sense that the Caananites used it? And has the usage by the Caananites been adopted by Islam? Is a Pharisee one who does investigation and research towards a better understanding of god. If so, then I do not understand why the Prophet condemned investigation and research. Quite often I am totally confused by what you say and the references you give.
